Samantha LaRosa, LMSW

Samantha is a LMSW under the supervision of Susan Mackert, LCSW.

Samantha believes that therapy is a collaborative process which helps clients heal, grow, and expand their inner strength. Guided by compassion and acceptance, Samantha helps clients explore their thoughts and feelings in insightful ways. Everyone is on a journey in which suffering can feel like a road block to joy, trust, and peace. In revaluating one’s inner world, one can learn the keys to healing and cultivating more positive experiences.

Utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Samantha supports clients in reworking thought patterns that are holding them back and integrating more helpful ways of thinking. She also is inspired by Dialectical Behavior Therapy and utilizes that approach into her work with clients. She takes a holistic approach to treatment. Samantha believes in the power of guided visualization and mindfulness to help clients gain a deeper self-awareness and peace of mind.

Samantha earned her Masters in Social Work at Stony Brook University School of Social Welfare.

Samantha enjoys hiking, yoga, songwriting, and spending time with her dog Figaro.
