Lauren also has experienced working with the substance use population and those with severe and persistent mental illness.

Lauren believes in the importance of social connection and self-awareness. Lauren believes that behavior and emotion are greatly influenced by the individual’s experience in different systems throughout his or her lifetime. These systems include family, peers, social settings, socio-economic status as well as the home environment. Barriers and obstacles within systems can greatly impact a person’s mental well-being. Lauren believes that each individual is the expert in his or her own life and that through the collaborative process in therapy personal growth is achieved. Lauren works primarily from the strengths based and person-centered approach. Lauren also has experience utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, and Play Therapy.

In her spare time, Lauren enjoys spending time outdoors with her family and her dog. Lauren also enjoys reading, writing, and other forms of self-care.
