Karrah Bruder, LMHC, CASAC, CCPT

Karrah is a licensed mental health counselor who specializes in substance use disorders and complex trauma in the Rochester, NY area. Karrah has worked in multiple mental health and substance use and has experience working with a diverse population in different settings. She has a person-centered approach to counseling and believes that people are the experts in their own lives and that sometimes they just need a little help seeing their self-worth in order to reach their full potential.

Along with being empathetic and genuine, Karrah also utilizes cognitive behavioral therapy to challenge beliefs about oneself and their experiences to help the individual overcome patterns of negative thinking.

When Karrah is not seeing clients, she enjoys traveling (usually to Disney World), spending time with family and friends, Broadway musicals, making the perfect of tea, cooking, and hanging out with her three cats (who may even drop into the session to say hello). In addition to these hobbies, Karrah is also a certified Barre instructor and can often be found in the gym studio teaching Barre and cycle classes.

    During the COVID-19 pandemic, insurance companies are required to cover co-pays and deductibles. However, some insurance plans are not covering these expenses, and in such cases the client remains responsible for payment.

  • Karrah is not currently accepting new clients. Please note in-person session appointments are very limited, whereas tele-session appointments can begin almost immediately after all paperwork is completed.
