Julie Lapham, LMHC
Julie is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with experience in various disciplines and settings treating multiple age groups. Most recently, she has specialized in treating children, adolescents, young adults, and their families in schools and community based settings.
Julie utilizes a humanistic and holistic approach, and is passionate about helping others achieve enhanced enjoyment, fulfillment, and purpose in their lives. Julie strives to develop strong therapeutic relationships, as she believes the therapeutic alliance is an essential aspect of creating positive change. She is here to support you and provide a safe space to express and explore yourself freely. She is dedicated to assisting others find peace within, by being able to feel more aligned with oneself, and live a more authentic, meaningful, and vibrant life.
As a parent, it can be difficult to determine if your child/adolescent’s behavior is a sign of their age or a bigger need. Therapy can assist in reduction of negative/irrational thoughts, emotion regulation, greater self-awareness and esteem, improve communication, and the development of healthier coping mechanisms. Julie is collaborative and strength-based.
Utilizing an integrative approach, she may draw from cognitive behavioral therapy, family systems, trauma focused, mindfulness therapy, and acceptance and commitment therapy.
In her spare time she loves being anywhere by water, camping, live music, and spending time with her family and friends.
