Janay Campbell, LMHC

Janay is a licensed mental health counselor who is originally from Queens, New York, but has been living in Albany, New York for the past 5 years. Janay has experience working with diverse populations who struggle with addiction. Janay’s focus is supporting disadvantaged populations through individualistic and client-centered approaches. Her theoretical orientations include cognitive-behavioral and solution-focused approaches. She is always willing to learn new information to help those around her to provide the best support to clients.

With clients, Janay focuses on how to improve interpersonal relationships, emotional regulation, increasing coping skills, and overall personal growth. Janay’s philosophy on therapy is that if you put in the hard work, the results will be rewarding and significant. She also uses humor and positive reinforcement to help clients reach their identified goals.

In her downtime, Janay loves to watch reruns of her favorite television shows- Criminal Minds, The Office, and Girlfriends, reading different novels, and spending time with family and friends.

  • Janay is currently accepting new clients (tele-services only). NOTE: Janay will be seeing clients in person soon, however this is still pending and she is only providing tele-services at this time. Please also note in-person session appointments are very limited in general, whereas tele-session appointments can begin almost immediately after all paperwork is completed.
