Lorna’s bio in her own words: “Hello, my name is Lorna Forbes. I am a Nurse Practitioner. A little bit about my life. I am originally from Jamaica in the West Indies. I immigrated to this country in 1982. I married and have four beautiful girls who are now ages 25, 21, 19 and 15.
I received my Family Nurse Practitioner in 2010 and eight years later I returned to school and received my Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner in 2018. I am board-certified in both Family Nurse Practitioner and now Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. I have been a nurse since 1989. I have been using the nursing profession to help others. I find it very fulfilling. My personal philosophy is first do no harm and always show empathy. I believe that living by example is the best way of making a difference in the world. My hope for mankind is that we all will learn to love each other and always show kindness and humility I believe that each of us should reach out to help those who are less fortunate than we are in whatever capacity we find ourselves at that time. This should include those needing our help the most, including the minority community, the LGBTQ community, the immigrant community, and the homeless community. I was brought up in the Baptist Church and my faith in God guides my decision making.
My hope for humanity is that we learn to love each other as ourselves and to show kindness, empathy and humility to everyone we meet each and every day.
As your Nurse Practitioner, I will work my hardest and my best every day to make sure you get the best individualized and personal care possible while on your path to healing. I look forward to working with you”
